These terms apply to your use of the PawsFourThought website (pawsfourthought.co.nz) and purchase of any PawsFourThought digital products. PawsFourThought is operated by Leanne Edwards, Auckland, New Zealand. By using this website or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms.

Our products

PawsFourThought sells digital guides in PDF format. All guides are delivered electronically — there is no physical product. You'll receive a download link by email immediately after purchase. Our guides are designed to provide general guidance for new dog owners. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary or behavioural advice. If your dog has specific health, behavioural, or welfare concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.

Refund policy

Because our products are digital downloads delivered immediately on purchase, we are generally unable to offer refunds once a guide has been delivered. However, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you have a problem with a product — a technical issue, a file that won't open, or a genuine concern about the content — please email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to make it right. This policy does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Intellectual property

Our free resources — including The PawsFourThought Approach, the owner guides and the Puppy Wallchart — may be printed and shared with other dog owners freely. Please share the original file rather than reproducing parts of it, and do not sell it or present it as your own. Paid guides are licensed for your personal use only.

Some articles and guides may contain affiliate links — if you purchase a product through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products we would genuinely recommend. We'll always tell you when a link is an affiliate link.

Accuracy of information

We work hard to ensure everything we publish is accurate and current. The dog training and behavioural science fields do evolve — if you notice anything that looks out of date, please let us know. We update our content when better evidence emerges.

Limitation of liability

PawsFourThought provides general guidance for educational purposes. You know your dog better than we do, and the final decision on any approach always rests with you. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for outcomes resulting from following guidance in our guides. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any dispute will be dealt with in the New Zealand courts.
