PawsFourThought is operated by Leanne Edwards, based in Auckland, New Zealand. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being clear about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. This policy applies to the PawsFourThought website at pawsfourthought.co.nz and all associated email communications.

What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it. This includes:

- Your name and any other details you choose to include, if you contact us directly

- Your first name and email address, when you sign up to receive a free resource or purchase a product

- Payment information, processed securely through Stripe — we never see or store your card details

- Basic website analytics data (pages visited, time on site) collected through Google Analytics

How we use your information

- To deliver the free guide or purchased product you requested

- To send you the welcome email sequence you opted into when signing up

- To let you know when new guides or content are available, if you have opted in

- To respond to any messages you send us

- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it

We will never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed below — the platforms that help us run the site, deliver your guides, and understand whether our advertising is working.

Third-party services we use

Funnel Launch (GoHighLevel) — our website, CRM, and email platform. Your email address is stored here.

Google Analytics — website usage data, including pages visited, time on site, approximate location and device type. We never send Google your name or email address. This data is stored outside New Zealand.

Cloudflare — DNS and security. No personal data is stored.

Zoho Mail — email communication. Messages sent to [email protected] are received here.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — we use the Meta Pixel on our website to understand which of our ads and posts lead people to sign up, and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the site. When you submit a form, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and name may be sent to Meta so it can tell whether you had seen one of our ads. The scrambling happens in your browser before anything is sent, and it cannot be reversed to recover your actual address. Meta stores this data outside New Zealand. You can control how Meta uses data about you in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

Stripe — payment processing. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never pass through our systems. Stripe stores this data outside New Zealand.

Where your information is stored

PawsFourThought is based in New Zealand, but the platforms we use to run the site and send email store data overseas, mostly in the United States. That includes GoHighLevel, Google, Meta, Cloudflare, Zoho and our payment provider. Each of these operates under privacy standards comparable to New Zealand law, but by using our site or signing up to our emails you agree to your information being stored and processed outside New Zealand.

How long we keep your information

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record so that we do not accidentally email you again. Purchase records are kept for seven years, as required for New Zealand tax purposes. Website analytics data is retained according to the default settings of the platforms we use. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing us.

Email communications

When you sign up for a free guide or purchase a product, you'll receive a short automated email sequence. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. We will never send you emails you didn't ask for.

Your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, and to ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies

Our website uses two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies make the site work — they remember your form progress and your cookie choice. Non-essential cookies are used for analytics and advertising, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel described above. When you first visit, you can accept all cookies or essential ones only. You can change your choice by clearing your browser cookies for this site and choosing again, or disable cookies entirely in your browser settings — though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

Changes to this policy
